Listing Update...The remaining Cinelli Sesamo stems we stock in the 110 mm size and the black/silver finish are identical to our other Sesamo offerings with the exception of two of the bar clamp bolts.  More specifically, notice the two bar clamp bolts that are positioned behind the single bar clamp bolt at the nose of the stem. They are a slightly different color and design relative to the other bolts.  On all our other Sesamo stems, the fork steerer and bar clamp bolts are identical, but these 110 mm (black/silver) models have two different bolts.  I mention this not to imply any kind of functional problems, but more just to note the slightly different mounting hardware relative to our other Sesamo stems.

This offering is for a new-old-stock Cinelli Sesamo road stem in a size 110 mm. The finish on the stem body is black (top half) and silver (bottom half) with silver decals.  Additionally, this stem will mount on a threadless steerer tube and achieve a 90 degree stem angle (or said another way...0 degree rise). Please also note, these stems are rare and while we only have a handful (or less) in any one particular finish/size, we were still able to acquire a decent selection (but as I alluded to above, the availability in any one particular finish/size is fairly limited...so the selection may narrow a little sooner then we would like).
These Italian made stems are very good quality, as they are made from an extruded bar of heat treated aluminum alloy (AL 6082 T6) and then CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machined to complete the process.  The end result is a threadless stem that disassembles into two pieces...a top half and a bottom half...that allows for desirable handlebar install/uninstall/swap flexibility, while also retaining admirable strength and durability at the bar clamp area.  I don't believe this model stem is as stiff/durable as the Cinelli Alter model from this same generation, but it's a lighter model that still retains good strength/durability qualities.  More specifically, this model stem (in the 110 mm size) weighs in at 215 grams.
With respect to compatibility, the diameter of the steerer clamp is the relatively common 25.4 mm, which will fit any 1" threadless steerer tube, and the handlebar clamp size is 26.0 mm (also a relatively common size that should be compatible with a number of road handlebars). We should also mention the handlebar clamp includes all stainless steel hardware and the three-bolt design is very strong, while still retaining the conveniences of a slightly unconventional, but still completely detachable, bar clamp for easy handlebar swaps. The steerer clamp also boasts of stainless steel hardware and an extremely clean/strong design...with recessed mounting points that are literally built into the design of the stem body.
As for condition, this is a retail boxed offering that shows no signs of use. The multi-color finish still shows fairly well, but we are still noting some shopwear on these stems...probably from years of storage. Lastly (and just as pictured), an alloy steerer dust cover is included with this offering.
Listing Update...We are nearing the end of our stocks in this particular model/size/finish. As a result, I am updating the pictures to reflect the next stem that will sell/ship. To this end, I can confirm the next stem that will ship still shows fairly well (and it's as nice as any of my remaining stocks), but the retail packaging is not in very good condition.  More specifically, our remaining stocks in this model/size/finish are generally no longer secured in their original retail packaging (as this packaging is showing it's age)...so we will do some additional packing to preserve cosmetic condition upon shipment. So again, while the original retail packaging is fairly rough, our remaining stems still show fairly well (including the one offered herein).

Note to international customers regarding shipping...
We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case.
Note to international customers regarding customs...
We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value).
