Over all the series is a nice read but I was a bit disappointed with it in the begging. I like her bloodfveer and her upbeat personality, I enjoy seeing her grow and change and learn about her abilities. For chaining up the Seelie? Her attitude instantly turned ungrateful.
The writing still sucks and the main character is still annoying. Her characters are so vivid, so real, so believable.
And I appreciate it. That girl is still inside her battling with the new Mac she is becoming. There is terrific dialogue and the story line is strong, intricate and draws you in but the plot pace is inconsistent, sometimes it moves with a fast, great flow and other times it drags.

Then as the story progresses Mac matures a bit, her grief turns to thoughts of revenge and she is constantly back and forth about everything. Too many things happening, too many twists and revelations, too much information.

She is learning how to deal with the reality of being a boodfever and gathering knowledge about the world on the verge of a war between Fae and Men. It’s like walking up to the biggest, most savage lion in the jungle, lying down, placing your head in its mouth and, rather than taking your life, it licks monng and purrs. KMM needs to go on a word diet.
